Investing in our women’s team at EMBRACE THE WORLD has been a big success! 💥 This year we were finally able to become more visible in the growing women’s road racing scene! We participated in two UCI stage races, several national stage races, most of the Bundesliga races and we also made our mark in the gravel scene. We learned a lot, grew together as a team, and are more than excited to continue this journey. Now, let’s take some time off to recharge and plan the next season. We’re ready for more! Gravel racing is hard but fun! 🌈 Our team wrapped up the season at the @gravelchampionshipsflanders, competing on a 135 km and 182 km course from Halle to Leuven. 🇧🇪 @j_nini_s finished impressively in a the top-50 out of 140 women in the strong elite field. @annikaschelb and @amelie.zi secured 20th and 30th spot in their age group. In the men’s race our riders fought through a hard and hectic race. Even though they were plagued by bad luck, they all managed to finish in the first half of the peloton. We will be back next year, stronger and hopefully with better luck! Third Gravel World Championships, this time in Belgium 🇧🇪 and we are again part of this big show. We expect as always a hard and fast race on a challenging course with hopefully sunny weather again. We look back on a wonderful time at the Tour de la Guadeloupe. What a great atmosphere along the roads during the hard stages! What a nice place to race and ride a bike! It’s half time on Guadeloupe! Today we had many up and downs. The race started for us with two leaders jerseys, the orange and the white jersey. In very heavy rain, a group with Heiko in it only managed to break away after about 1.5 hours. Our plan seemed to work out. Unfortunately, after about 100km Heiko had to pay tribute to the high speed at the mountain and let the group go. In the last 10km Julius Baier also crashed heavily and had to abandon the race. We wish him a speedy recovery ❤️🩹 for the upcoming days we want to secure the orange jersey! #race #guadeloupe #rain #crash #fast #recovery 📸 @oliverfarys

We had an intense weekend of Bundesliga criterium races in Offenbach and Gießen. On Saturday, @amelie.zi and @kathy.bckr participated in the Bemble Crit in Frankfurt. The Crit was part of the Eurobike, Europe’s biggest bike convention, and therefore, there was a huge crowd and a really great atmosphere. There were about 50 registrations for the women’s race, with some really strong women. Kathy managed to win the first two sprints, while Amelie helped her close gaps. In the end, Kathy missed the first place by only two points and finished 3rd. Amelie finished in a strong 6th place. 🥈 place for @j_nini_s at the UCI Hegau Gravel Race! With a strong performance, Janine was able to actively shape her home race on challenging terrain right at the front. The women’s elite race was dominated quite early on by a trio, in which she found herself together with @carolinschiff (@canyon ) and Maaike Coljé (@arkeaprocyclingteam ). It was only in the final kilometers that she and Carolin were able to pull away from their third rival, but after 4 hours she was narrowly beaten in the sprint. @clemensav also qualified for the World Championships with a 23rd place. @grafsilas , on the other hand, was less fortunate and unfortunately had to abandon the elite men race after a defect in a leading group of 10 riders around the eventual winner @jonasjoneskoch (@redbullborahansgrohe ). 📸 @fotobiasport #racing #gravel #cycling #sport #mycanyon

We used the weekend to get some more race intensity into our legs at @kaiserstuhltuniberg to prepare for the upcoming Bundesliga races.
